Aceon Information

Aceon is also called perindopril. It is an ACE inhibitor. Thus, Aceon is a medicine for treating high blood pressure or hypertension. It can also be used to stop a sudden heart attack in those having coronary artery disease. Aceon can also be prescribed for another condition.

How To Use

If being taken to treat coronary artery disease, Aceon should be taken once a day and the dose should be 4mg. Do not go beyond two weeks. The right maintenance dose should be picked based upon your response to the first dose. If well-tolerated, you should take 8mg once a day.

If treating hypertension, take an initial dose of 4mg once a day. The right maintenance dose range is 4mg to 8mg once a day and the dose can be split twice. Don’t take more than 16mg per day.

Side Effects

Perindopril can cause the following side effects:

Precautions
