What if I miss a dose?

Take the medication as soon as possible if you have missed a dose. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return back to your regular schedule. Never double the doses.

What should you know before you take Motegrity (Prucalopride)?

There is limited information with use in pregnancy. Consider the use of appropriate contraception in females of reproductive age.

Caution in renal dysfunction. Dose adjustment may be needed.

• CrCl 30 mL/min or more: No dose adjustment.
• CrCl < 30 mL/min: 1 mg/daily 
• ESRD needing hemodialysis: Avoid use. 

Use may cause fatigue and dizziness. Inform patients about performing tasks requiring mental alertness. 

Can cause diarrhea or severe diarrhea, most often reported to occur during the first week of treatment, resolving within a few days. If persistent diarrhea occurs, stop Motegrity (Prucalopride) and speak to a healthcare provider. 

Suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and suicide have been reported with use. Monitor patients carefully for any new onset or persistent worsening of depression or development of suicidal thoughts.

Some common side effects include:

• Abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, severe diarrhea
