What is Tradjenta?

Tradjenta (Linagliptin) is a prescription medication that is classified as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor (DPP-4). 

Uses

What is Tradjenta used for? 

It is used as an adjunct to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. 

How does it work?

It inhibits the degradation of incretin hormones by DPP-4. This action  increases insulin release in a glucose-dependent manner and also decreases the levels of circulating glucagon.

You should take Tradjenta as directed by your doctor; do not take more than recommended.
