Corlanor Information

Corlanor or ivabradine is a prescription-only medicine for people who have chronic heart failure. It is a medicine that affects the heart’s electrical activity in order to reduce the heart rate. A person with chronic heart failure may reduce their odds of being hospitalized by taking Corlanor. It is normally given to adults.  But, kids who are six months and older and have stable heart failure due to an enlarged heart can take it. If you are already showing signs of heart failure and they are getting worse, you may not be given Corlanor.

How To Use

Corlanor should be taken exactly as the doctor prescribes it. Follow their instructions fully to improve your health condition.  Normally, Corlanor is taken twice a day with your meals. An initial dose of 5mg is given. Don’t exceed 7.5mg per day. Kid’s dose is based on their age and body weight. However, don’t consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice when taking this medication.
