Brilinta is a non-thienopyridine, P2Y12 antagonist and antiplatelet agent and is used for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome, stable coronary artery disease and high risk for ischemic cardiovascular events (primary prevention), and in those with a minor ischemic stroke (NIHSS Score 5 or greater) or high-risk transient ischemic attack (ABCD2 score 4 or greater).
