How do I take Risedronate?

Take risedronate exactly as prescribed by your prescriber. It should be taken first thing in the morning before any food or liquids other than plain water. Take risedronate with a full cup of water and take it while you are sitting up or standing. Swallow the tablet whole. Do not lay down, eat/drink anything, or take any vitamins for 30 minutes after taking risedronate.
