Albanon Information

Albanon or naphazoline is a medication for treating eyes. It is a vasoconstrictor that works by making swollen blood vessels in the eyes narrow. This helps to reduce eye redness triggered by minor irritants. Albanon is a temporary cure though. If you have consistent eye redness and discomfort, have a talk with your doctor.

How To Use

It is necessary to use Albanon exactly as prescribed by the doctor. So it is advisable to use just the right amount for the recommended duration. If you use it too often, the medication could damage the blood vessels in your eye. Prior to using this eye drops medicine, wash your hands to avoid contaminating the dropper.

Then to apply, tilt your head back a little. Pull down your lower eyelid until a tiny pocket forms. Hold the dropper tip above this eye, look up and away from it and squeeze out just one drop. Close this eye and gently press a finger to the inner corner of this eye to keep the medication inside it.

Be careful not to release two drops as this will be an overdose. Restore the cap and store the medication properly until you need it again.
