Bromday Information

Bromday is also called bromfenac. It is grouped among NSAID medicines that are used to reduce pain and inflammation in the body. Hence, Bromday is prescribed for treatment of swelling and pain associated with cataract surgery. Doctors can also prescribe it for other health problems.

How To Use

Bromday should be used exactly as prescribed. It should be taken for the exact duration and dosage that the doctor prescribes. Generally, Bromday is given as one drop in the affected eye once per day. Treatment will normally continue for fourteen days. The very first dose is used a day before eye surgery. Then the rest of the dosage is administered after surgery.

To apply, wash your hands first. Then, tilt your head backward slightly and pull down your lower eyelid. This will create a small gap. Hold the dropper tip about the eye, look up and away and squeeze out a drop. Close your eye for two to three minutes with your head bowed and without blinking the eye. At the same time, press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for a minute. This will keep the medicine inside the eye.

Wait five minutes between applications if you are using another eye drops medication too. Avoid contaminating the dropper tip.

Side Effects

Bromday can cause these common side effects:
