Frontline Spray Information

Frontline Spray is a prescription vet medicine used for killing fleas and ticks on pets. The product contains S-methoprene and fipronil. The product is designed for topical application and it will be stored in the oil gland of the pet from where it will be distributed continually all over the skin and hairs of the pet for the next one month. The distribution occurs via the hair follicles.  If any tick or flea comes in contact with the skin of the pet after Frontline Spray has been applied, the tick or flea will die. This means the product has a preventive and treatment effect against fleas and ticks.

Recommended Use

Frontline Spray is a prescription medication and should only be used according to the prescriptions of the vet doctor. It is to be applied topically to the skin of the pet. The application should also occur once a month. The same method of application is required for both tick and flea infections. It is only to be applied to the skin of pets and it is not to be used on humans.

Side Effects

Some of the side effects are:

• Loss of appetite
• Diarrhea
• Excessive salivation
• Irritation on the affected area
• Itching
• Swelling
