What is Vyzulta (Latanoprostene)?

Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) is a prescription medication that is classified as a prostaglandin analog.


What is Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) used for? 

It is used to lower intraocular pressure in patients diagnosed with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

How does it work? 

By increasing the outflow of aqueous humor through the trabecular meshwork and uveoscleral routes, Vyzulta helps lower intraocular pressure.


How do I take Vyzulta (Latanoprostene)?

Take this medication as directed by your doctor. When instilling a drop into the eye, ensure the tip of the dropper does not touch the eye as this may lead to contamination of the prescription bottle and cause eye infections. Wash your hands before and after using this medication and make sure to shake the bottle each time you use Vyzulta. Remove contact lenses prior to using and reinsert at least 15 minutes after your dose of Vyzulta.
